Іноді до нас приходять листи, які неможливо просто прочитати й залишити без відповіді. До нас звернулась жінка, син якої з 2022 року добровольцем пішов захищати Україну. Йому було лише 22 роки. Сьогодні він продовжує служити на фронті.

А вдома на нього чекає мама. Одна.

У 2023 році її життя різко змінилося: спочатку діабет і часткова втрата зору, а згодом — онкологія. Операція, променева терапія, довге лікування… Усі заощадження пішли на боротьбу з хворобою. Пенсія — лише 2361 грн.

Вона живе сама і доглядає двох собак, які теж стали частиною її маленького світу.

У листі вона написала прості слова:

«Вибачте, що звернулась… але безвихідь».

Разом з нашими небайдужими партнерами ми змогли передати допомогу:

• ходунки на колесах (завдяки Благодійному Фонду Едуарда Мкртчана)
• ліки (завдяки Світлані Суховейко)
• продукти (завдяки Food Bank Ukraine)
• корм для її собак (Ukrainisches Zentrum für Integration und Kulturaustausch e.V.)

Коли вона отримала допомогу, написала нам:

«Ви надихнули мене продовжувати боротися і вірити в добро… Тепер я зможу виходити на вулицю самостійно. Це неймовірна радість».

І саме заради таких моментів ми продовжуємо робити свою справу.

Sometimes we receive letters that we can’t just read and leave unanswered. We were contacted by a woman whose son volunteered to defend Ukraine in 2022. He was only 22 years old. Today he continues to serve at the front.

And his mother is waiting for him at home. Alone.

In 2023, her life changed dramatically: first diabetes and partial loss of vision, and later oncology. Surgery, radiation therapy, long treatment… All her savings went to fight the disease. Her pension is only 2361 UAH.

She lives alone and takes care of two dogs, who have also become part of her little world.

In the letter, she wrote simple words:

“Sorry for contacting you… but there’s no way out.”

Together with our caring partners, we were able to deliver the following assistance:

• walkers on wheels (thanks to the Eduard Mkrtchan Charity Foundation)

• medicines (thanks to Svitlana Sukhoveiko)

• products (thanks to Food Bank Ukraine)

• food for her dogs (Ukrainisches Zentrum für Integration und Kulturaustausch e.V.)

When she received the assistance, she wrote to us:

“You inspired me to continue fighting and believing in goodness… Now I will be able to go outside on my own. This is an incredible joy.”
