Свято  Різдва  поїхало й на фронт — у коробках, наповнених  різдвяним печивом, що нагадує про дім, затишок, про звичайні речі, що в мирний час здаються буденними, а на передовій стають собливими.

Christmas has also gone to the front — in boxes filled with Christmas cookies that remind us of home, comfort, and ordinary things that seem ordinary in peacetime but become special on the front lines.
